How to be eligible for this program?

  • You must be a Delaware resident.
  • You must have health insurance that doesn't cover screenings.
  • Your age must be 18-64 and not eligible for Medicaid.
  • Your age must be 65 or older and do not qualify for Medicare.
  • You must meet income guidelines.
  • You must not eligible for health insurance from the Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Delaware Residents are eligible for Screening for Life if they have a household income between 139% and 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
  • The Federal Poverty Level is based on annual household income and household size.
  • A household consists of the individual, their spouse, and all dependent children under 18 years of age.
  • Delaware Residents with an annual household income between 139% and 250% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for Screening for Life if they are deemed ineligible for Medicaid.

What are the guidelines for insurance?

For Uninsured: No medical insurance nor private HMO, Not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid, Not eligible for health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace or For Underinsured: Unmet deductible (deductible must be more than 15% of annual income), Insurance does not cover breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate screenings, The SFL program does not reimburse for co-pays or co-insurance.
