What does Maine CDC Breast and Cervical Health Program offer?
It will pay for a breast and/or cervical cancer screening office visit performed at one of our designated network service locations.
What kind of services do they have?
- Clinical Breast Exam, Pelvic Exam, Pap Test alone or Pap test and high-risk HPV test is known as HPV co-testing.
- Ob-Gyn or Obstetrics and Breast Cancer Screenings.
What is the mission of MBCHP?
This is to provide breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to underserved women, to provide public and professional education, and to support community partnerships to enhance statewide cancer control activities.
How to be eligible in this program?
- Be a Maine woman age 40 or older.
- Limited openings for women age 35-39 who have seen a doctor and need additional tests for a possible breast or cervical cancer OR if you have not had a Pap in 5 or more years.
- Have no health insurance or health insurance that does not cover mammograms or Pap tests or has high deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, or premiums.
- You do not receive Medicare Part B or MaineCare benefits.
- Must have no health insurance, or health insurance that does not cover mammograms or Pap tests (preventive cancer screening services), or has high deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, or premiums.
What are their office hours?
- Monday and Thursday 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm.
- Every other Friday 8:15 am - 2:15 pm

Eligibility
With or without health insurance, to enroll in the MBCHP you must:Be a Maine woman age 40 or older, with the following exceptions:
Women 35-39 who have seen a doctor and need follow-up tests for a possible breast or cervical cancer ; or
Women 35-39 who have not had a Pap test in 5 or more years.
Have household income less than or equal to 250% of the current Federal Poverty Level (FPL);
Health insurance with high deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, or premiums.
Women receiving MaineCare or Medicare Part B are not eligible for MBCHP.
