What program does this provider participate in?
This is a participating provider for the Maine CDC Breast and Cervical Health Program (MBCHP), Free Pap Tests & Mammograms.
Are there any residency restrictions?
Yes, must be a resident of Maine.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, must be age 40 or older.
Is there an income restriction?
Yes, household income must be less than or equal to 250% of the current Federal Poverty Level.
What if I have insurance?
Must have NO health insurance, or health insurance that doesn't cover mammograms or Pap tests (preventive cancer screening services), or has high deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, or premiums.
Do I qualify if I have Medicare or MaineCare?
You would NOT be eligible for MBCHP if receiving Medicare Part B or MaineCare benefits as mammograms and pap tests are covered under these programs.
Are there any exceptions to the age requirements?
There are limited openings for women age 35-39 who have seen a doctor and need additional tests for possible breast or cervical cancer OR if you have not had a Pap in 5 or more years.
How long does coverage last?
Enrollment provides coverage for screening services for one year.
Can I re-enroll every year?
Yes, as long as you continue to meet MBCHP eligibility requirements.

Eligibility
With or without health insurance, to enroll in the MBCHP you must:Be a Maine woman age 40 or older, with the following exceptions:
Women 35-39 who have seen a doctor and need follow-up tests for a possible breast or cervical cancer ; or
Women 35-39 who have not had a Pap test in 5 or more years.
Have household income less than or equal to 250% of the current Federal Poverty Level (FPL);
Health insurance with high deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, or premiums.
Women receiving MaineCare or Medicare Part B are not eligible for MBCHP.
