What does Screening for Life provide?

They provide payment for cancer screening tests to qualified Delaware adults.

What are their services?

Office visits, Mammograms and clinical breast exams, Pap tests, Prostate cancer screening tests recommended by your doctor, Lung cancer screening tests, if recommended by your doctor and you meet criteria, Health education, Help with coordinating associated care

How to be eligible on their program?

  • Must be a Delaware resident.
  • Must have health insurance that doesn't cover screenings.
  • Must be age 18-64 and not eligible for Medicaid.
  • Must age 65 or older and do not qualify for Medicare.
  • Must meet income guidelines.
  • Must not be eligible for health insurance from the Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Must be Delaware Residents are eligible for Screening for Life if they have a household income between 139% and 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
  • Must be in the Federal Poverty Level is based on annual household income and household size.
  • Must have a household consisting of the individual, their spouse, and all dependent children under 18 years of age.
  • Must be Delaware Residents with an annual household income between 139% and 250% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for Screening for Life if they are deemed ineligible for Medicaid.

What is their Insurance Guidelines?

  • Uninsured: No medical insurance nor private HMO.
  • Must not be eligible for Medicare or Medicaid.
  • Must not be eligible for health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Underinsured: Unmet deductible (deductible must be more than 15% of annual income).
  • Insurance does not cover breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate screenings.
  • The SFL program does not reimburse for co-pays or co-insurances.
