This is a participating Center for the Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program. The mission of the Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program is to prevent unnecessary disease, disability, and premature death by providing quality breast and cervical cancer screenings at NO COST to uninsured and underinsured, lower-income women in Louisiana. Program Eligibility: Eligible women are those that meet age, income and insurance status guidelines. In addition, a woman must not participate in any program that provides these same services, such as Family Planning in a parish health unit. The screening provider determines a patient's eligibility for participation in LBCHP. Contact one of our providers if you are experiencing any breast or cervical symptoms, as this may help you qualify. Eligibility Guidelines: 1. Age Women must be between 21 and 64 years of age to qualify for cervical cancer screenings. For breast cancer screenings, women must be between 40 and 64 years old. A woman who by virtue of symptoms or physical findings, regardless of age, is considered to have a substantial likelihood of having breast disease is to be referred for a diagnostic mammogram. 2. Income The participant's household income must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. The Federal Poverty Level and the LBCHP's maximum allowable income are adjusted annually. To find out if you qualify for a free or low-cost mammogram and Pap test and where to get screened, call (888) 599-1073.
